It's a problem if people travelling together want to different things. I hope you've seen lots even this way. And kids definitely have more energy, I remember travelling when I was little, I was all over the place... Your kids likes to see foreign places? Or he's never been far? I think seeing different places is good for kids, something books can't teach.

I've never been to Poland... I've actually seen more of west eu than the east one :o. Good plans :D. It doesn't always go according to them, but you have to have them, even if you postpone or change them...
We do have a lot of green countryside if nothing else ;).
